February 2026 Schedule Outline

Date

       Topic

February 3

       The Foundations of Empire

February 10

       Two Contrasting Kingdoms

February 17

       The American Empire

February 24

       Coming Out of Babylon

Cost: $40/person to cover snack & material costs.

Why:  We can’t understand a culture different from our own until we understand our own culture first as a reference point.  God’s Kingdom is technically a culture far from our own and we must understand the ethos of the society we have been formed in before we can understand the high call of Christ for our lives.  “Jesus is Lord” was actually a very politically charged declaration the early church made in contrast to the common Roman vow of allegiance, "Caesar is Lord.”  Through these four weeks we hope to obey the call of Revelation 18, “Come out of [Babylon], my people, so that you will not share in her sins.”
