DESCRIPTION:Who:  Anyone interested in growing as a missional practitioner
 \, gaining tools for leading a missional community\, or just curious to le
 arn about our philosophy of ministry &amp\; simple church.\nWhat:  A smal
 l group of like-minded individuals joining together for 12 weeks to discov
 er the foundations of missional community through large group exercises\, 
 self-reflection\, and one-on-one coaching.  There will be six 3-hour coho
 rt meetings and six 1-hour coaching conversations spread out across 12 wee
 ks.  Key principles and frameworks will be taught\, but the primary goal 
 is to help foster what God has already put in each student.\nWhere:  Coho
 rt meetings are at the SCC Continuing Ed Building - 301 S 68th Street Plac
 e.\nWhen: Cohort meetings are 9 AM - 12 PM on every other Saturday morning

 hy:  Over the last few years our ‘normal’ in America has been destabi
 lized by the covid-19 pandemic\, race issues\, tumultuous political discou
 rse\, and rampant abuse being uncovered throughout our institutions\, incl
 uding churches.  Amidst this upheaval\, we have seen a growing number of 
 people who believe God is doing a new thing in the North American Church a
 nd want to practice the way of Jesus in simple and decentralized ways\, bu
 t unsure how that works.\nA few of these people are brave enough to risk t
 rying something - this cohort is designed to help those who are asking “
 where do we begin?” or “could we really do this?” to explore\, with 
 the help of others\, what it could look like to be a missional community i
 n Lincoln\, NE.
